deadline > gaps are the physical presence of the future
This project is a small step aimed at developing the urban character latent in Berlin. Becoming a world city does not mean smearing mega projects across pregnant ground. Berlin needs to find a vision which synergises the unique character of a specific area, the needs of the people, and a vision of urban life in the next century. In a one day intervention the third circle was marked on the site using a pair scissors and plastic band. The man who mowed the grass the next day did so in a circular rather than the usual orthogonal pattern. |
